The DVRC is sponsoring an entire section of the Florida Reef Recovery Program from Coral Restoration. Our goal is to raise $5000 by July 1. For every dollar you donate, the club will donate an additional $0.50.

DVRC is proud to announce that we have started a fundraiser to help support the Coral Restoration Foundation. Ken Nedimyer and the foundation are working tirelessly to help rebuild our coral reefs off of the Florida coastline.

As part of a new and massive undertaking, Ken and his team have an entire reef under their care. The reef has been divided into multiple sections, with each section requiring funding and volunteers to help rebuild it.

DVRC has made a commitment to adopt one entire section. The cost is $5000, a small price to pay to restore our reefs to their original form and to help support an entire ecosystem that is under a daily barrage from environmental contaminates.

For every dollar donated to DVRC for the Coral Restoration, the club will match 50%. So, if you donate $100, the club will match your donation with $50!

We are aiming to complete our donation by July 15, 2011.
