An innovative program and the first of its kind worldwide, the Corals for Charity program enables DVRC members to auction their coral to other members with all proceeds to be donated to a charity of their choice.  With the success of coral propagation in the club and our desire to protect not only the world’s reefs but our fellow man, the DVRC designed this program to help both.

By offering coral fragments to other reefers, they are helping to cultivate coral growth without impacting our natural reefs.  And, by using the proceeds of the sale of these frags as charitable donations, we are are also benefiting those less fortunate than us.  So far, we have made donations to the following charitable organizations:  Coral Restoration Fund, Nature Conservancy Foundation, Save the Reef Foundation.
